1. What this policy covers
This policy explains what information Trivio collects when you use the website or app, why we use it, when it may be shared, and the choices available to you. You can play some modes as a guest; an account is required for saved progress and social features.
2. Information we collect

- Google account identifier when you choose Google sign-in; Trivio does not receive your Google password.
- Optional country and profile image.

3. How we use information
- Operate accounts, matches, leaderboards, challenges, messaging, and customer support.
- Calculate scores, ratings, rewards, streaks, and catalog performance accurately.
- Prevent cheating, spam, account abuse, and security incidents.
- Diagnose failures and improve the reliability and usefulness of Trivio.
- Send account, verification, security, and service communications.
4. What other players can see
Your username, profile image, optional country, rank, rating, level, gameplay statistics, and public match or challenge results may appear in profiles, lobbies, matches, and leaderboards. Private email addresses and authentication details are not shown to other players.
5. Service providers and sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may provide limited information to:
- Infrastructure providers that host the application, database, backups, and network services.
- Authentication and email providers when you sign in with Google or receive an account email.
- Consent, analytics, or advertising providers only as described in your cookie choices.
- Authorities or advisers when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users, or defend Trivio.
6. Connected AI applications and account linking
When you choose to connect Trivio to an OpenAI product such as ChatGPT, Trivio uses OAuth to create a revocable connection. For identity and workspace protection, Trivio supplies OpenAI with a stable account identifier, your verified email address, and email-verification status. Your password and Trivio API keys are not shared.
Tool requests that you initiate, including quiz filters and submitted option IDs, are sent from OpenAI to Trivio. Trivio returns question text, decoy options, quiz progress, scoring results, and usage information requested by the tool. These prompts, tool arguments, and tool results may also be processed by OpenAI under its own terms and privacy policy. Trivio does not receive unrelated portions of your ChatGPT conversations.
You can disconnect an application in the developer dashboard. Disconnecting revokes its Trivio access and refresh tokens, although each provider may retain information it already processed according to its own retention policy.
7. Cookies, analytics, and advertising
Necessary storage keeps you signed in, preserves security state, and remembers interface preferences. Outside local development, our consent manager records your choices. Optional analytics and advertising storage remain disabled unless you grant the applicable consent. Google AdSense is not loaded by Trivio until advertising consent is present. You can change your choices through the consent controls or your browser settings.
8. Retention and deletion
We retain account and gameplay records while your account is active so saved history, ratings, moderation, and competition records remain coherent. Security logs and backups may be kept for a limited operational period. You can request account deletion in profile settings; some records may be retained when required for security, legal obligations, or the integrity of completed competitions, and deleted data may remain temporarily in restricted backups.
9. Your choices
- Edit available profile fields, including your bio and country.
- Change optional cookie choices.
- Review and revoke connected applications in the developer dashboard.
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of information associated with your account, subject to applicable exceptions.
Account deletion is available in profile settings. Other requests can be sent to privacy@trivio.gg.
10. Security and children
We use access controls, encrypted transport, password hashing, and operational safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. Trivio is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
11. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service changes and will revise the edition date above. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to privacy@trivio.gg.
